Meet Sahar El-Kotob
Family Law Lawyer"I strive to be a part of a legal profession that is working towards mindfully serving our ever-changing community. Despite an individual’s circumstances, they deserve to be heard and seen by their lawyer to the best of their abilities."
Professional Highlights
Sahar is a Canadian Lebanese immigrant and a first-generation lawyer, and is an advocate for her community outside of the legal world. Originally a member of Lerners Health Law and Personal Injury groups, Sahar has recently decided to take her skills and passion for helping people to Family Law. Sahar will maintain her current personal injury files while expanding her reach and ability to help more people with issues she is passionate about, such as assisting clients in difficult situations which impact them on a daily basis. She hopes to work with clients and their families to achieve for them the best possible result. Sahar has formerly worked at the Canadian Arab Institute, developing and implementing a mentorship program for young Canadian-Arab professionals; a rare opportunity in a world that usually dismisses this minority group.
Sahar looks forward to serving all community members, regardless of their background and ethnicity. She has extensive volunteer work experience, including empowering sexual assault survivors in navigating the legal world and aiding low-income individuals in overcoming their legal issues. Sahar is a director of LIFE*SPIN, a registered charity in London led by sole-support mothers with the goal of alleviating poverty in the community.
Having grown up in Lebanon, Sahar is no stranger to spending a sunny morning along the Mediterranean leading to an afternoon on the ski slopes. Fueled by these dual loves, Sahar is an avid lover of sea life and has a deep passion for skiing. When looking to unwind Sahar enjoys hot yoga classes.
