Representation Matters.
In an effort to address the systemic barriers racialized people experience entering legal services professionally, Lerners is proud to present the ‘Learn with Lerners’ Bursary & Mentorship Program.
We believe that diversity in the legal services industry is integral to providing effective legal representation. It is important to the culture of our firm that our lawyers, management and staff are representative of the vibrant communities that we serve. We believe that confidence in the administration of justice depends on a diverse legal profession that equitably serves the interests of all.
New in 2022, Lerners is proud to announce that, building off last year’s success, we are expanding this year’s program to select two recipients of a $5,000.00 CAD bursary and up to twelve months of mentorship with a Lerners lawyer.
This program is offered to recent graduates of publicly funded secondary schools in Ontario, who are interested in careers in the legal services industry and plan to attend college or university in the 2022-23 academic year. If you have recently graduated high school or will graduate by June 2022, and have been admitted to a first-year program at an Ontario college or university in September 2022, or January 2023, then the ‘Learn with Lerners’ Bursary & Mentorship Program may be for you!
