Lerners LLP Response re Concerned Unitholders of Bridging Finance Inc. Matter
On February 22, 2022 at 6:00pm a release was issued by the Concerned Unitholders of Bridging Finance Inc. (the “Concerned Unitholders”) stating that they had retained Domenico Magisano of Lerners LLP with respect to a motion brought by PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. in its capacity as the court-appointed receiver in the Bridging Finance Inc. receivership.
Neither Mr. Magisano, nor Lerners LLP has been retained by the Concerned Unitholders. Lerners LLP has been retained by one individual, who is not affiliated with the Concerned Unitholders. While Mr. Magisano continues to be contacted by a number of unitholders and investment firms regarding the February 25, 2022 motion, he has no additional retainers at this time.
Further, Lerners LLP, Mr. Magisano, and his client have not, and do not, agree with the Concerned Unitholders’ statement that the Receiver’s motion is “an abuse of power”. Quite simply, there is no evidence to support such an allegation at this time.
