Lerners Admits New Partners
Lerners LLP is proud to congratulate seven outstanding lawyers on their admission to the Firm’s partnership: Lindsay Abercrombie, Debbie Boswell, Kathryn Ball, Mark Evans, Jane Scholes, Greg Willson and Renée Zatzman Stein.
“We are thrilled to welcome this extraordinary group of young lawyers to our partnership” said Cynthia Kuehl, Partner and Firm Chair. “Each of them have set the standard for client service, community involvement, and leadership at our firm. They are representative of the wide range of practices and services offered across the Lerners’ offices, and we congratulate each of them on this significant, and well-deserved career milestone.”
Lindsay practices in our family law group, focusing on negotiation and conflict resolution for topics including cohabitation agreements, marriage contracts, and separation agreements. Lindsay is also well-versed in fertility law and is committed to helping individuals and couples navigate the legalities of ova donation, sperm donation, and surrogacy agreements with sensitivity and care.
Debbie practices in the areas of health law, commercial litigation, appellate advocacy, and education law. She represents and provides advice to clients on professional regulation, privacy issues, medical negligence, labour and employment law, business and contractual disputes, human rights law, and workplace investigations.

She is adept at representing her clients in a wide range of issues, including investigations, complaints, discipline, fitness to practice, and registration matters. Kathryn also represents insurers in actions involving commercial general liability, motor vehicle accidents (tort and accident benefits), historical sexual abuse, environmental damage, and coverage disputes. With extensive experience and special attention to detail, Kathryn has appeared before the Superior Court of Justice and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.
Mark’s practice includes a broad range of services for businesses, including the fundamentals (structuring, M&A, etc), but with a special interest in technology-related law (licensing, copyrights, trademarks, and general IP, as well as privacy compliance and cybersecurity and breach response).
Jane has a dynamic advisory and advocacy practice and is a member of the firm’s health law and commercial litigation practice groups. Within these broad areas she specializes in regulated professions, labour and employment, and education. She has appeared in all levels of court in Ontario and at the Supreme Court of Canada, as well as before a number of specialized tribunals including the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, the Ontario Physicians and Surgeons Discipline Tribunal, and the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board.
