Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic
For many women across Canada with abusive partners maintaining isolation and social distancing is acutely dangerous, driving the need for support services even higher than usual.
The Barbra Schlifer Commemorative Clinic is keeping its doors open to provide essential services to women at risk, and to help endure the effects of isolation by providing care packages, with food vouchers, cell phones, tablets, and SIM cards so women at risk can provide for their families, stay connected, and receive vital counseling and legal services without disruption.
The clinic has launched The Spirit of Schlifer Campaign to generate the much needed funding required to keep their doors open and continue assisting all the women who are so desperately in need of safe harbour during this time.
Lerners is proud to continue our commitment to supporting clinic’s mission to help provide access to justice, safety and equality for women.
