Lerners LLP (“Lerners”) is collecting your Personal Information for the purpose of considering your application for the Learn with Lerners Bursary and Mentorship Program.
The Personal Information that you provide in your application for the Learn with Lerners Bursary and Mentorship Program will only be shared with the members of the selection committee. Additional Personal Information will be requested from the applicant selected for the bursary in order to verify the accuracy of the information provided in their application. The selection committee will be compromised solely of employees or contractors of Lerners.
Physical, organizational and technological security safeguards are in place to protect the Personal Information that you provide to Lerners in your application for the Learn with Lerners Bursary and Mentorship Program.
The recipient of the Learn with Lerners Bursary and Mentorship Program bursary will be requested to provide written consent for Lerners to use their Personal Information, including name, age, pronouns (if you so wish), likeness, story, photograph, video, quote and/or image for promotional and marketing purposes, both in print and electronic and for distribution on social media, including but not limited to Lerners’ website, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram and Twitter.
Your Personal Information will be retained for a maximum of one (1) year from the date the recipient of the Learn with Lerners Bursary and Mentorship Program application is selected. Your Personal Information will then be securely destroyed. If your Personal Information is used for Lerners’ promotional and marketing purposes, or for distribution on Lerners’ website and/or social media it may be retained indefinitely.
You have the right to withdraw your consent for Lerners to collect, use and disclose your Personal Information. A withdrawal of your consent will result in the abandonment of your application for the Learn with Lerners Bursary and Mentorship Program, and your application will not be considered by the selection committee.
