We recently moved our clocks ahead an hour, but what have we really “saved”? Suggestions from the twitterverse include that clocks be set ahead four years, or that daylight savings time happen at 4:00 p.m. on a Friday.
In the meantime, the decisions released by the Court of Appeal in February dealt with a very mixed bag of issues including the enforceability of a termination clause in an employment contract, reduction of lawyers’ fees upon the approval of an infant settlement, a minor’s application for withdrawal from parental control, the approach to causation in a solicitor’s negligence action based on the failure to add a proper party, and jurisdiction over a dispute regarding disability benefits.
