Lerners’ third annual Women’s Symposium is coming up on November 21, 2018 at Museum London. I’ve been looking forward to this event since I joined Lerners in February of this year, and I was thrilled when I was invited to be a member of the planning committee. Our co-chairs, Yola Ventresca and Alysia Christiaen, and the other members of the committee, Natalie Carrothers, Jacqueline Fortner, and Karen Simpson, have worked hard to bring you an event that promises to be engaging and invigorating.
This annual speaker series is one-of-a-kind in London and surrounding areas. Its aim is to build leadership among women through inspirational stories and discussions that encourage leadership, success, and cultural change to promote the advancement of women.
This event is going to be an enriching and empowering experience for all those in attendance. In each of the past two years, the event has been an opportunity for more than a hundred and fifty guests to gather and discuss topics relevant to women in leadership. This year’s topic is: “The Passion Advantage: Vocation & the False Idol of “Balance”, and this year’s committee is thrilled to welcome Danielle Robitaille of Henein Hutchison LLP as our speaker. Danielle has been posited as the next “legal icon” and one of the profession’s next “superstars.” Despite her staggering accomplishments, and the frequent media attention her line of work attracts, she’s equally well-known for her no-nonsense and refreshing attitude. We are so fortunate to get her insights on this topic.
I invite you to watch a short video about last year’s event:
The event is free and cash donations for The Shoebox Project will be greatly appreciated. Doors open at Museum London at 4:30pm for cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, and the speaking event begins at 6:00pm. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with other passionate community leaders committed to championing women.
If you have not yet registered and would like to attend, please RSVP here.
