Alex is a health law and insurance defence lawyer. Prior to her call to the Bar, Alex summered and articled with us, where she gained experience across a wide range of matters. Clients can expect thorough advocacy and candid advice to help resolve their legal problems.
Alex graduated from Western Law, where she participated in a variety of advocacy competitions. She was a finalist in the Lerners FYAC Moot in her first year. The following year, she competed in the Davies Corporate Securities Law Moot, where her team was awarded third place best factum. Alex also worked as a research assistant to Professor Michael Link in his role as UN Special Rapporteur, focusing on the issue of collective punishment.
During her time at Western, Alex worked as a caseworker for Community Legal Services, and she continues to make pro bono work an important part of her practice.
Prior to law school, Alex studied political science at the University of Toronto, graduating with high distinction. In the summer of her third year, she conducted a two-month ethnography in Kerala focusing on researching the economic impact of caste.
Outside of work, Alex loves restaurant hopping, comedy shows, and has recently taken up sewing.
