Meet Emily Woods

Emily completed her L.LB at Queens University of Belfast, Faculty of Law in 2021 where she earned an award for academic excellence. Following law school, she completed her articles with a prominent law firm in London, Ontario, and was called to the Bar in 2023. Emily previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from York University in Toronto.

She worked as a Registered Nurse from 2016 until 2019, then returned part-time to nursing during the COVID-19 pandemic. Emily’s experience with the healthcare system lends itself to her legal practice and puts her at an advantage when dealing with the complexities of health law.

Emily has always had a keen interest in healthcare, making advocating for people in the healthcare system a natural transition from her nursing career. Since entering the legal profession, Emily’s practice has largely concentrated on medical malpractice. Emily is passionate about advocating for the legal rights of her clients and healthcare professionals.

Emily's clients can expect compassionate, personalized attention and a commitment to transparent communication. Her core values—integrity, diligence, and an unwavering pursuit of justice—ensure that she will work to secure the best possible outcome for every client.

When not engaged with her legal practice, Emily enjoys being active in the outdoors, teaching yoga, spending time with friends and family, and travelling.
