Meet Michelle Raithby
Family Law Lawyer"The law is really a concept until we get there. We get to bring the law to life."
Professional Highlights
Michelle has practised family law since her call to the Ontario bar in 2012. Her focus on family law allows her to harness her fierce determination and drive for the benefit of her clients. Michelle is unrelenting in driving her cases forward to conclusion so her clients can get back to focusing on their lives.
Quickly identifying the issues, developing a clear plan to achieve her clients' goals, and moving ‘full steam ahead’ to bring cases to a positive conclusion is the key to Michelle’s success. Always prepared with a clear view of the end game, gives Michelle a leg up in negotiations. As a litigator, that same preparation and vision, along with her determination, serves her clients very well in the courtroom.
Michelle has also been the coach for the University of Western’s law school team competing in the Walsh Family Law Moot since 2019. Michelle, along with a team of students, coaches a team of second and third year law students through the drafting of appellate facta and the oral argument of a mock appeal hearing on an issue within Ontario family law.
"Michelle Raithby and assistant Josee were awesome!! Answered all my questions and were always available either by phone or email...they made my divorce easy peasy."
Patricia
"I can highly recommend family lawyer Michelle Raithby and her team at Lerners law firm.
In my case, her hard work, her insight and her commitment transformed a situation that had become the worst disaster of my life, into something I can now live with.
She was the fifth lawyer I had in the process, but she was the only one who went beyond superficial sympathy, to an actual understanding of the situation. That provided a way out.
For it she has my heartfelt gratitude."
Phil
"I wanted to take this opportunity to make a heartfelt testimonial for Michelle Raithby and her associate staff because of the way Michelle and staff represented myself in a recent family law settlement case.
Michelle's professionalism and understanding during the need to have her represent myself the way I would want to treat anyone I was representing and that is as a human being with compassion and above all getting what is only fair for all parties involved. For what it's worth this was such a delightful experience ...if that's possible when experiencing a family law settlement case. Michelle's overview and guidance of current family law practice was second to none and gave me confidence that I would be treated fairly and really that's all I wanted.
Lerners in my opinion have a great family law lawyer in Michelle Raithby in which makes Lerners who they are today so please continue on making it better for those needing people like you in family law areas."
