Sheridan Chevrolet Cadillac Ltd. et al v. Tokai Rika Co., Ltd. et al

26 class actions have been commenced in Ontario with additional similar or identical actions commenced in other provinces. All of these actions concern allegations of price fixing in the auto parts industry. Lerners LLP is defending 6 of these actions in Ontario on behalf of the Tokai Rika group of companies and is coordinating the defence of similar actions commenced in British Columbia and Québec. In addition the Lerners defence team is responding to competing duplicate actions commenced by a rival plaintiffs’ law firm in Manitoba, Saskatchewan and British Columbia. The actions are brought on behalf of the direct purchasers of the auto parts, automotive dealers and ultimate consumers.
