Lambert v. Guidant Corp.

Lerners LLP is co-counsel with Kim Spencer McPhee Barristers P.C. in this class action. Lambert v. Guidant Corp. is a class action against Guidant Corporation, Guidant Canada Corporation, Guidant Sales Corporation and Cardiac Pacemakers Inc. (collectively “Guidant”) with respect to certain pacemakers.  The action is brought on behalf of those individuals who were implanted in Canada with one of the following Guidant pacemakers:

This class action was certified by order dated May 8, 2009.  The defendants were denied leave to appeal the certification decision on October 20, 2009.

Notice of certification was sent in 2010.  The deadline to opt-out of this class action has passed.

The defendants served a statement of defence in the spring of 2011.
