Bennett Estate v. Iran (Islamic Republic of); Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act

2013 ONCA 623 (CanLII); Lerners acted for the proposed intervener in this appeal of an unsuccessful motion to obtain intervener status. The Ontario Court of Appeal allowed the appeal, holding that the proposed intervener – who was injured in a terrorist attack in Israel – had an interest in litigation involving enforcement of a foreign judgment pursuant to the Justice for Victims of Terrorism Act.
