Copy Clerk - London

Our London office has an opportunity for a full-time Copy Clerk predominantly responsible for coding (records management and indexing) within our Administrative Services Department.

In this role, the successful candidate will be required to complete some or all of the following tasks:

  • Processing reproduction requests ;
  • Scanning, logging, saving/filing and distributing correspondence electronically;
  • Scanning correspondence and evidence;
  • Unitizing and coding (identifying and indexing) evidence;
  • Perform quality checks for data and image files;
  • Load files to specific folders or systems;
  • Provide paper-lite support;
  • Working knowledge of computer hardware, software and networking technologies (eg. understanding of system requirements, ability to liaise with IT to communicate technical needs, as well as vendors, etc.);
  • Provide support, advice and recommendations to legal teams;
  • Liaise with Litigation Support as required ;
  • Burning USB’s/DVD’s;
  • Provide our internal/external clients with enhanced customer service that includes responding to issues, concerns, providing information etc. ;
  • Ensure timely and accurate management of all projects, from reproduction, scanning correspondence to evidence based assignments;
  • Exercise discretion when dealing with confidential information;
  • Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills;
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • Previous experience in a law firm or professional services firm, as well as experience with legal and medical terminology and previous experience with coding, (the ability to identify and index medical documents), will be an asset in this position.

The successful candidate will possess strong computer skills as well as strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.  Applicants must also demonstrate an exceptional ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment and possess excellent interpersonal skills.  Candidates must also have solid oral and written communication skills and organizational/time management skills.
