OSC lawsuit difficult case for plaintiffs
A lawsuit alleging “bad faith” on the part of the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) will be an uphill battle for the plaintiffs, given the regulator’s statutory immunity and duty of care to the broader public rather than individual investors, says Toronto commercial litigation lawyer Bill Pepall.
