Michael Lerner Receives Middlesex Law Association’s Award for Distinguished Service
Lerners LLP is proud to announce that Michael M. Lerner has been honoured as a 2024 recipient of the Middlesex Law Association’s (MLA) prestigious Award for Distinguished Service.
The MLA’s Award for Distinguished Service is presented annually to MLA members who have made exceptional contributions to the legal profession throughout their career and whose commitment to upholding the highest standards of the profession have positively impacted the community.
Michael has been an active member of the Middlesex Law Association for years, including being its President. Michael also served as a Law Society of Ontario Bencher for two terms. It was Michael who convinced his colleagues of the importance of a province-wide mentorship program. He also advocated for local law associations, law libraries, and diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. His steadfast dedication to the principles of client service, continuing legal mentorship, and the veracity in which he approaches volunteerism, charitable support and advocacy have had an enduring impact on the profession and reverberated within the larger legal community of Ontario. Michael’s outstanding commitment to the profession and legal community is perhaps only matched by his deep belief in service to his clients and the community at large.
Michael’s career, spanning five plus decades, will leave a legacy of advocacy, civility, professionalism, and community service within the city of London and beyond
