Black Wins Top Court Ruling, Reaches Settlement Over Libel Actions
Canada’s top court ruled Wednesday that Conrad Black could proceed with libel lawsuits against former business associates in the Canadian province of Ontario, but shortly afterward a lawyer for the onetime newspaper tycoon said her client has reached a tentative settlement that would bring the legal dispute to a close.
