BBBSOLA Big Bash Sponsorship
Lerners is a proud sponsor of Big Brothers Big Sisters of London and Area. BBBSOLA has been at the forefront of youth health and wellbeing for over 50 years, stepping in before it’s too late to ensure all children reach their full potential. They run mentoring programs geared towards children aged 7 to 17 facing adversity, matching them with a caring adult volunteer. Studies show that having a mentor helps mitigate childhood adversity and as such, young people with mentors are more likely to gain full-time employment, break generational poverty, and become adults who give back. These studies also show that young people who face adversity are disadvantaged and can have experiences that can harm them for the rest of their lives.
Lerners’ commitment to sponsoring BBBSOLA in their efforts means more kids can access these life-changing mentoring programs and potentially prevent or even reverse the effects of childhood trauma.
On June 2nd, BBBSOLA held their 44th Annual Big Bash gala, with the theme being “A Night in Nashville.” The event brought the vibrancy and fun of Nashville nightlife and included musical performances. Excited to be returning to in-person events, Lerners members attended to celebrate the night, led by Hilary Leitch, Business Law and Wills & Estates Lawyer.
