Top 5 Civil Appeals and the Top 5 Signs of Spring

Dated: March 22, 2016

February may have been a short month, but this did not stop the Court of Appeal from releasing several important decisions. This month's netletter summarizes appeals involving lawyers' conflicts of interest in commercial transactions, exercising rights of renewal of a lease, liability of banks for conversion as a result of fraudulent activity, retroactive variation of child and spousal support orders and the right of a non-party to participate in litigation when adverse findings may be made against them.

This month's netletter author, Carolyn Brandow, also provides her top five signs of spring. Reading her list brought a smile to my face and reminded me that it is time to go to a maple syrup festival.
