Top 5 Civil Appeals and the Top 5 Destinations for Spring Skiing (in North America)

Dated: February 23, 2017

We made it through the “Monday of months”, only to be handed a forecast of six more weeks of winter.

Speaking of prognostication, February saw the Court of Appeal release a trio of decisions dealing with the Limitations Act, 2002 – including the threshold of knowledge required for discoverability, when the limitation period starts to run for a proceeding to enforce a foreign judgment, and the doctrine of fraudulent concealment. There were also two interesting decisions regarding a claim against the police for breach of a promise of confidentiality given to an informant, and disqualification of counsel for alleged conflict of interest.

This month’s author, William Pepall, also brings you the Top 5 Destinations for Spring Skiing. The thaw may be well underway, at least in Toronto, but there are still some great opportunities to hit the slopes.
