    Laura acted for the successful Applicant in obtaining an Order pursuant to the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, 1997 that the civil claim brought by the Respondent was barred because she was a worker at the time of an accident
  • Conrad v. State Farm, 2014 ONSC 4 - Laura acted for the successful Defendant in obtaining summary judgment on the basis that the limitation period for claiming non-earner benefits had expired.
  • Kalabi v. Egal et al, 2013 ONSC 1128 - Laura acted for the successful Statutory Third Party in defeating a motion for summary judgment.  The Defendant sought a declaration that the Statutory Third Party defend and indemnify her.  The Statutory Third Party was successful in arguing that such a motion was premature.
  • Thach v. State Farm Mutual Automobile Insurance Company, FSCO Appeal P10-00019 – The Applicant appealed the Arbitrator’s decisions requiring her to produce the medical reports from the tort action and finding that a request for a neuro-psychological assessment was reasonable. Acting for the Respondent insurer with Kelly Tranquilli, Laura successfully defended the appeal.
